The two main pieces of equipment in the game of golf are balls and clubs. We’ll start with the clubs because there is a lot more to talk about. There are four types of clubs: Woods, Irons, Hybrids, and Putters.
Golf is a time consuming game which makes it all the more important to pick the right playing partners. No wants to get stuck with a dud who isn’t fun and can’t help them in their business. I mean aren’t all relationships for pleasure (friendship, etc) or for advancement in ones career/life?
The biggest mistake people make when getting into golf is assuming that it will be easy.
How many of us have started something new and were instant professionals? Tiger Woods…put your hand down because you don’t count. The rest of us can only hope to be a quarter as good at golf as you are.
There have been countless studies in Psychology on the correlation between what clothes you wear and how people perceive you. The outcomes of these studies proved that if you dress outside of the norm at an event people will judge you more than the others who followed suit clothing wise at the event. Its kind of like the ugly duckling – although the ugly duckling was a swan and was actually very beautiful, growing up it did not know this because it didn’t look like its brothers and sisters. Same thing goes at a Golf Tournament.

Please note, if you are a new golfer, the Par 3 Courses are going to be the best courses for you to practice and learn on. Once you can hit the ball into the air on 50-75% of your shots you should start playing the bigger courses.
I recently came across an article in the LA Times titled, “Some female executives don’t feel at ease with business golf outings.” It is beautifully written but doesn’t tackle the real issue – why women are continuing to stunt their careers because men ask stupid questions.
